This week’s Worthy Wednesday spotlights an important film Enforcing the Silence, which uncovers the story of a young community worker in San Francisco.
Filmmaker Tony Nguyen takes a look into the life and murder of Lam Nguyen in the summer of 1981. Lam’s murder looks at the trauma of the Vietnam war and how its legacy still affects generations of Vietnamese Americans today. If you’re in California at the end of this month, the film will be showing at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.
