Worthy Wednesday: Universal Filipino: A Hip-Hop Theater Production

This week’s Worthy Wednesday is being brought to you from the West Coast, so please excuse my slight delay in time.  Meganda Films is spotlighting the Universal Filipino: A Hip-Hop Theater Production.   Earlier today on my facebook page I received a friend request from  a Kilusan Bautista an Actor and an emerging voice for Diasporic Asian Pacific Americans raised within the Hip Hop Generation. I was directed to his website and I was instantly interested, and wanted to know more. To my surprise there will be a showcase of his work coming up in the NYC area within the next few weeks. Please join me and check out Universal Filipino.

On September 23rd, 24th & 25th, 2011, at the Historic Nuyorican Poets Cafe, NY, NY, audiences will experience the return of a Hip Hop Theater Production entitled, “UNIVERSAL FILIPINO”. Written and performed by Kilusan Bautista, a Bay Area, CA raised and New York City based performance artist. With special artistic direction by Lia McPherson, a Brooklyn based performance artist.
